We love supporting the local creative community and this week marked the start of the amazing Winnipeg Fringe Festival. Whether you’re a diehard Fringe fan or never been to a show before, there are lots of great ways to get out and see some of the amazing things that our talented community of creatives, including actors, musicians, playwrights, comedians and so many more, have to offer.
Today we took a break and headed down to the Cube at Old Market Square to check out Steinbach’s own Matthew Zimmerman who belted out some great folk and country tunes. The performances held at the Cube are all free, and with a beer garden, food trucks and amazing performances, its a perfect way to enjoy a gorgeous afternoon (or evening) in Winnipeg. And have you seen some of those Fringe posters and flyers? Some cool design to be had too!
I love supporting our creative community and heading out and seeing what new things people will come up with next. You never know what could inspire your next great idea.
Happy Fringing!
Andrea
PS. Are you a Musical fan like me? Don’t miss “Songs for a New World” at Venue 29, it is a fantastic production. You won’t regret it!
