There are always a few local entrepreneurs that I observe and think that we could design some cool stuff together. Whether it is their product, their commitment to customer service, engaging staff or personable owner, I am intrigued by the possibilities. Enter Norm Paisley – one of the nicest guys you will meet.

It is always exciting to be involved with a company at its beginning. Agribution is Norm’s latest brainchild and he needed an identity to represent his latest venture. Agribution is an agricultural company that sources feed products to enhance production and quality to farms and will be sourcing product from all over the world. As a result, Norm wanted to ensure his brand reflected it’s Canadian roots. By working together, we were able to design a logo that does just that. The project also included creating a unique tagline to provide a concise definition for what the company does. This logo is one of my favourites from the past year and look forward to designing the website in the new year.

This project also represented traversing a very slippery ethical slope as Norm is a huge Green Bay Packer fan. If he wasn’t such a nice guy, my integrity would ordinarily not allow me to work on a project with these parameters. Apparently, he did not want a purple logo with Vikings horns – my first idea. However, he assured me he would not grow his hair to look like Clay Matthews and we agreed to continue to work together.
